Jeff Shaffer



Jeff serves as Board Chairman of GOTR GSV. His passion for running, and persuasion by Executive Director Cheryl Stumpf, first got him involved with the program in the Fall of 2011. He served as a Coach for three seasons at Selinsgrove Intermediate School and joined the Board of Directors in the Spring of 2012. Jeff continues his involvement because of his desire to see children live happy and healthy lives. Jeff is the Communication & Education Coordinator for the Central PA Chamber of Commerce and lives near Sunbury with his beautiful and intelligent wife, Bethann.

Liz Grove

Vice Chair


Liz lives in Selinsgrove, PA. She has worked for the Greater Susquehanna Valley YMCA and the Greater Susquehanna United Way. She currently works in Office of the President and Vice President of Finance at Susquehanna University. She has two fabulous children, Hannah who is 13 and Connor who is 11. Liz has worked 20+ years in the non-profit industry and loves the work that non-profits do to help the community. She especially appreciates the mission and goals of Girls on the Run. Couple this with the passion and drive of the staff that makes this a no-brainer in volunteering her time for such a positive organization, but, most of all it is about making a positive impact on the hundreds of girls in the region!

Cheryl Stiefel



Cheryl came on board at a turning point for our council as we were transitioning from an affiliate to an independent council. She was introduced to GOTR through her husband who works at a school where the girls are fired up about GOTR.  She is a runner and believes in the power of physical activity as it encourages female fitness and empowerment.  She has her PhD in accounting and believes she is a good fit for the board as treasurer and bookkeeper.

Caryn Hamm

Development Committee Chair


Caryn is a wife to Brad and a mother of three daughters, Anna (23), Kierstin (19), and Courtni (13).  She is a US Air Force veteran, has a BS degree in Juvenile Justice from Shippensburg University, and has worked in the criminal justice field for over 20 years.  Caryn has been a Board Member with GOTR- Greater Susquehanna Valley since its inception.  She enjoys being part of an organization that brings families together and that offers an opportunity for girls to find their true selves.  Being able to offer the program to all girls is an important mission for her, therefore, her main focus has been on fund development. 

John Stumpf

5K Planning Committee


John has been with GOTR-GSV from the inception, and is driven by his 30+ year’s love of running as well as his wife's passion for the program. Very active "behind the scene", John has served as a GOTR coach and encourages his children's participation in running-based sports. He has been even more inspired by the GOTR program as he has witnessed the growth in his own daughter who has participated in the program. A licensed psychologist working with individuals who have cognitive and developmental disabilities, John is also an avid motorcyclist.

JoAnn Shotko

Finance Committee


JoAnn is a Retail Executive and Senior Vice President with Susquehanna Bank. She has held this position for over nine years. Prior to her tenure with Susquehanna JoAnn was with M&T Bank and its predecessors for 24 years. She likes to tell people that she worked for five banks but has only changed jobs once. Her area of responsibility is sales management of nineteen branches in five counties in Central PA with her home office being in Sunbury. JoAnn was a 1992 graduate of the Advanced School of Banking. JoAnn has a passion for serving in her community of which she has held numerous positions. In addition to being on the GOTR board, she serves on the Advisory Board for Central Sight Services of the Susquehanna Valley. She resides in Selinsgrove for over thirty three years with her husband Joe. She has two children and four grandchildren.

Sheila Packer

Volunteer Committee


Sheila has been Director of Community Health and Wellness at Evangelical Community Hospital for 7 years. Prior professional position: Physical Program Director for the Sunbury YMCA for 9 years. She graduated from Lock Haven University with a Bachelor of Science degree Recreation, Fitness Management. She and her husband of 17 years live with their two children. She was drawn to the program because of the emphasis it puts on being individuals and accepting yourself for who you are. She loves that it incorporates physical activity in a fun and non threatening way. The GOTR program encourages young girls to love themselves, their friend and their family and promotes self confidence/self esteem. She has coached for 6 seasons and every time she learns something new that inspires her to be positive and love herself.

Stacey Piecuch

Development Committee Chair


Stacey, along with her husband Mike are raising their three children while living in Selinsgrove. She is about to take on a new role at Bucknell University in the Admissions Department.  She was first exposed to the GOTR program during her daughter's wonderful experience in fourth grade.  She witnessed her daughter's confidence as an athlete, runner and classmate grow during the GOTR season in which she participated and this has inspired Stacey to be a part of the work to be done to grow the program and increase those opportunities for others in our region. 

Marv Rudnitsky

Executive Committee


Marvin (Marv) J. Rudnitsky is a semi-retired attorney.  A Penn State graduate and graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, he founded Rudnitsky Hackman & Potter, LLP in Selinsgrove. He served as a Captain in the US Army JAG Corps for 4 years, and as an Assistant Attorney General. He is married to Raven, father of three daughters, and grandfather to six grandchildren. He recognizes that the advancement of women begins with building confident girls. GOTR gives him a chance to help that happen locally.

Beth Shaffer

5K Planning Committee


Bethann first learned of GOTR through her husband, Jeff, who coached during the 2012 season.  She joined GOTR because she saw firsthand the impact the program has on young girls.  Bethann is a strong believer that women can do anything, and this program teaches valuable lessons that the girls will take with them during their entire life.  Bethann is a high school social studies teacher at Shamokin Area, is married to her handsome and intelligent husband Jeff, and has one cat, a tuxedo named Sox.  Bethann enjoys spending time with family and Penn State football!
